What is the Grant?
The SEAI Solar PV Grant offers financial support to homeowners who install solar PV systems. It covers a portion of the installation costs, including solar panels, inverters, and associated equipment.

What is a kWp?
"kWp" stands for kilowatt-peak. It's a measure of the system's potential output. A 2kWp solar panel system will produce 2 kilowatt-hours of energy in one hour under ideal conditions. The SEAI grant calculation is based on this rating.

Home Built Pre-2021
Must be built and occupied before 31st Dec 2020. -
No Prior Funding
Must not have received SEAI funding for PV at this MPRN. -
Pre-Approval Required
Must apply and receive approval before work begins. -
Homeowner / Landlord
Available to private homeowners and private landlords.

Complete BER assessment, submit Declaration, receive grant.
